With fans continuing to celebrate the life and career of acclaimed comic book creator Stan Lee following his passing this past November, an independent brewery has honored the writer and editor in a very special way.
The Minnesota-based Mankato Brewery has created a Lee-inspired line of beer named Marvelous Creator, with Lee’s familiar features decorating the packaging and dressed to resemble his co-creation Doctor Strange. The brewery shared the news through their official Facebook page, announcing they were beginning canning the special brew next week.

Expected to be available in late February or early March, the Facebook page describes the beer as a citrus blended double dry-hopped India Pale Ale with an 8 percent alcohol by volume content.
Founded in 2012 in Mankato, Minnesota, Mankato Brewery features many beers with a comic book or pop culture-influenced branding with most of the products offered carrying comic book paneled packaging. With its upcoming special Stan Lee-inspired beer, the brewery has made its influences clear with a nod to the man that co-created much of the Marvel Universe and served as the publisher’s editor-in-chief during one of its most pivotal periods.
