Aquaman director James Wan has revealed new behind-the-scenes images from the set of the Jason Momoa movie for its first anniversary.
Wan waxed nostalgic while also teasing the upcoming sequel, writing, “Happy anniversary AQUAMAN! Can’t believe how time flies. Sharing some of my personal photos from set. Who’s ready for the next chapter??!”
Not only did fans get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Aquaman himself, but the post also included a few with Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Michael Beach. That said, while the next Aquaman film is still two years away, these images should keep the fires stoked for the upcoming sequel.
A sequel to Aquaman is currently set to hit theaters on December 16, 2022, with James Wan and Jason Momoa expected to return. Much of the rest of the cast and crew are also expected to be on-board for Aquaman 2.
Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.
