Stuntman and director Chad Stahelski will help add new action scenes during Birds of Prey reshoots. Stahelski has previously directed all three installments of the acclaimed John Wick trilogy and is reportedly overseeing a second filming unit, designing new action sequences for the movie in an uncredited capacity. It is currently unknown how long the new round of filming will take place.
Although we may not know what will be added or reshot during the additional photography, Stahelski’s involvement indicates Birds of Prey will be including new action scenes. A few action scenes were teased by Birds of Prey set photos, including some involving Harley Quinn, the rest of the team and/or Black Mask. It’s unclear if these new scenes will replace those that were previously shot or will be added to the film’s runtime. Once Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) reshoots officially begin, fans may get an idea of what to expect from the new scenes through more set photos.

Prior to helming all three John Wick films, including this year’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Stahelski had been a stunt actor and second unit director on several high profile Hollywood films including Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig. The film is scheduled for release on Feb. 7, 2020.
