As filming continues on Warner Bros. and DC’s Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), new set photos have surfaced that may just give us a sneak peek at the break-up of Joker and Harley.

In the photos, the 28-year-old actress is seen filming Harley Quinn’s breakup with The Joker on late Friday night (March 29) in Los Angeles. An actor playing The Joker, previously played by Jared Leto in Suicide Squad, was seen throwing Harley Quinn’s belongings– including her iconic bat from Suicide Squad — out of a second story window while she tried to catch them on the ground. It’s not known who is playing The Joker here, but Jared is currently in England working on Morbius.
While a major moment for Harley as she goes on to separate herself from the Joker, it’s his presence in these photos that is notable. It’s doubtful he’ll play a major role in the film, as Harley will finally break free from their turbulent relationship in the film.
Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig. The film is scheduled to be released on February 7, 2020.
