Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn runs away from Rosie Perez’s Renee Montoya in new photos from the set of Birds of Prey.
Perez is playing the DC character Renee Montoya, a detective for the Gotham City Police Department. In the new photos, Perez can be seen running through the streets with her gun drawn. She is joined by Robbie, who’s wearing the alternate costume from the trailer and older set photos.

The new images, among other things, show Robbie taking her Harley Quinn style to new heights with mismatched shoes (which must make running difficult). The whole sequence is a street scene involving a lot of vehicles and Harley Quinn in a hurry to get somewhere.
Renee Montoya made her first appearance in the Batman: Animated Series and was later added to the comics. She is frequently portrayed as a detective disgusted by the corruption within the GCPD.
Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig. The film is scheduled to be released February 7, 2020.
