The stars of Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever can be seen together in a new image for the cover of Empire Magazine.
Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett and Tenoch Huerta posed together as Shuri, Queen Ramonda and Namor respectively on the new cover, which refers to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Marvel’s “impossible film,” referencing the death of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman.
The cover sees Letitia Wright’s Shuri standing front and center, giving the Wakandan salute, possibly fuelling rumors that she is set to take over as the MCU’s new Black Panther.
Namor Comes To Wakanda
Tenoch Huerta’s Namor stands alongside the Letitia Wright’s and Angela Bassett’s returning Wakandans in the new image, hailing the arrival of the MCU’s newest villain – or possibly, the MCU’s newest antihero.
Namor has traditionally walked the line between hero and villain in the comics. While he is generally a hero, his loyalty has always been to his Atlantean subjects first, which on occasion puts him at odds with surface-dwellers. In Wakanda Forever, his forces will be facing off against those of Wakanda.
