A new batch of promo images for Black Widow offers a better look at Taskmaster.
The latest batch of promotional images from Black Widow reveals several looks for Nat in the movie, but the main takeaway from this set is the illustration of Taskmaster. Fans in the comments section seem pleased with the way the character is designed for the movie, but there are some who remain unimpressed with their appearance. The photos were shared on Twitter by fan-account Marvel News, as you can see below.
Details about the upcoming Black Widow film are being kept relatively under wraps, though Taskmaster is said to be the movie’s villain. The film is Romanoff’s first solo movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since she made her debut in 2010’s Iron Man 2. As the character died in Avengers: Endgame, the Black Widow film is assumed to be a prequel of some sort. Photos from the set indicate the movie will take place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, though that’s not officially confirmed at this time.
Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle and Rachel Weisz. The film arrives in theaters on May 1, 2020.
