Despite the recent Tom Cruise reboot of The Mummy franchise, Brendan Fraser is absolutely willing to return to the franchise for a sequel or a reboot.
Asked at FAN EXPO Canada if there are future Mummy movies on the horizon, Fraser said, “For me? Do you want one?” When the panel hall erupted with cheers, Fraser quipped, “Did you hear that, Universal?”

In response to being told Universal “failed” to successfully reboot The Mummy, Fraser playfully feigned ignorance. “Oh, they did?” Asked if he would sign on for a reboot if approached, Fraser shouted a booming “Absolutely!”
“Just gotta say, I know how hard it is to make that movie,” Fraser added. “I tried to do it three times, and the essential ingredient is fun. You gotta remember to have fun. So if there’s a fun way to approach it again, I’m all in.”

Brendan Fraser, of course, starred in three Mummy films. In the films, he played series protagonist Rick O’Connell. The first two films, he battled the Mummy Imhotep, played by Arnold Vosloo and thwarted his attempts to take over the world and were both box office successes. In The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Rick O’Connell left Egypt to battle Jet Li’s Emperor and was noticeably less successful than the previous two. But it seems that Brendan Fraser is more than willing to return to the franchise.

Fraser now appears on DC Universe streaming series Doom Patrol, where he plays Cliff Steele, a.k.a. Robotman.
