Deadpool 3 is set to start filming at the end of this month. A new report reveals the working title for the film as Tidal Wave.
Working titles have been a staple of the film industry ever since its inception. Often times working titles are used as placeholders until a proper title can be settled on by the studio. However, for big budget films, a working title can also be used to obscure what is being filmed, which is likely the case for Deadpool 3. All sorts of problems can come about if fans were able to find out when and where these highly-anticipated blockbusters were being filmed.
While often these working titles serve as references or inside jokes about the project, there’s not much that can be derived about Deadpool 3 from Tidal Wave. Some speculation points to the Ultimatum storyline which sees Magneto use a tidal wave to destroy New York after the death of his children, but it’s not likely that Ryan Reynolds would adapt such an odd story for his one chance at working with Wolverine star Hugh Jacman. Only time will tell what this working title truly means, if anything.
Who else is attached to the Deadpool threequel?

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
