Disney’s live-action adaptation of Peter Pan titled Peter Pan and Wendy has offered the role of Tinker Bell to Margot Robbie.

The Illuminerdi reported that while Robbie has been extended an offer for Tinker Bell from Disney, she has yet to accept the role. The character breakdown describes the live-action film’s version of Tinker Bell as Peter Pan’s partner in crime and voice of reason. She is the one to swoop in and save the day when the Lost Boys are hopelessly lost. Hopefully, this Tinker Bell will still have some of the mischievousness and spunk that she had in the classic Peter Pan. It is unknown whether the Tinker Bell live-action origin story in the works starring Reese Witherspoon influenced this iteration of the pixie.

Tinker Bell has been a staple for the Walt Disney Company for over 65 years, making her debut appearance in the 1953 animated film. Her character was a major standout in Peter Pan and fans took notice, as she went on to be featured in many Walt Disney ventures. This included appearances on television in the form of the show Disneyland, which was done to promote the theme park Walt Disney was hoping to complete. In addition, she was on Walt Disney Presents, Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color, and finally, The Wonderful World of Disney.

Peter Pan And Wendy will be directed by David Lowery (Pete’s Dragon), and Toby Halbrooks is co-writing along with him. Jim Whitaker will produce, and the production is expected to begin on April 13th in Vancouver and wrap towards the end of August. There have been reports that the film could land Disney’s streaming service, Disney+, but that has yet to be confirmed.
