Avengers: Endgame star Robert Downey Jr has shared a behind-the-scenes look at Iron Man’s death. Posted to Instagram, the photo shows the actor getting ready to snap his fingers.

In the film, Stark stole the Infinity Stones from the Mad Titan, proclaimed he was Iron Man and snapped his fingers in order to defeat Thanos and his army. The super-villain was defeated, but the act cost the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first hero his life.
Avengers: Endgame co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently revealed that this scene was the last one they shot, after editor Jeffrey Ford came up with the “I am Iron Man” line the day before.
