New Eternals movie set photos provide the first look at Kit Harington’s Black Knight, but only in civilian clothes.

Thanks to the latest Eternals set photos shared by BRMarvelNews, Harington can finally be seen on the set of the Marvel production. Harington is playing Black Knight in the film, but here he’s only in Dane Whitman’s civilian attire. He’s shown with Chan’s Sersi, in what appears to be the present day, as the two walk and talk. Unfortunately, it is not known what the pair are discussing.

Based on an older character and concept created by Stan Lee and Joe Maneely in the ’50s, the modern Black Knight, Dane Whitman, was created by Roy Thomas and George Tuska in 1967’s Avengers #47. After inheriting the Ebony Blade, a cursed mystical sword, Whitman became the heroic Black Knight and joined the Avengers to restore honor to his family.

Eternals is due to explore thousands of years across time in the MCU. Indeed, a photo posted by star Lauren Ridloff in November indicated the film will go as far back as Babylon 800 BC — and perhaps even further. As such, it’s difficult to pinpoint just when these new photos take place, though the clothing suggests they are in the late 20th or early 21st century.

Directed by Chloé Zhao with a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, Eternals stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Gemma Chan as Sersi and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 6.
