It’s been a long time coming, but the first image from Jay & Silent Bob Reboothas officially arrived.
Smith shared the photo on Instagram and said that the shoot has now entered its second week. The photo he shared depicts himself and Jason Mewes as the title characters, who are setting off on a trip to stop the creation of a Bluntman and Chronic reboot.
The characters of Jay and Silent Bob, portrayed by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith respectively, made their debut appearance in Smith’s first movie, Clerks, as two hilarious slackers who spend their time hanging around the Quick Stop dancing, harassing customers and occasionally dealing weed. Since then, the two have appeared in many of Smith’s movies, including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks 2.
The new image proves that Jay & Silent Bob Reboot is officially happening. Smith recently announced that he’s aiming for a fall 2019 release for the film, which means he’s about to have a busy spring and summer working to bring this comedy duo back to the big screen in Jay & Silent Bob Reboot.
