Harley Quinn prepares for Christmas in Warner Bros.’ new Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) promo.

On the official Warner Bros. UK Twitter, a brand new 10-second promo was released highlighting Birds of  Prey‘s funny and irreverent side as it shows Harley Quinn preparing for Christmas in her unique fashion. Essentially, the promo is snippets from the full trailer, showing the characters “Christmas Prep,” which includes “Pre-Game” drinks accompanied by the shot of Quinn drinking at a bar, Quinn running with a shopping cart gathering “Supplies,” and also ending with the important message of “Have A Blast,” a message that is followed by Quinn handing a bomb to young Cassandra Cain, who throws it out, blowing up another car in the process.

In this film, Harley is quite different from her previous big-screen appearance hair is different. Her costume is different. Her language is R-rated, so that’s different, too. Director Cathy Yan promises she is “recognizable” but admits that even her white skin is “less thickly white.”

As for when the two movies take place in comparison to each other: “There is not any known amount of time” between the two movies according to Yan. “We kind of exist in a parallel timeline.”

Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be starring alongside Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn. Winstead will play Huntress, with Smollett-Bell as Black Canary. Rosie Perez is playing Renee Montoya and Ella Jay Basco is playing Cassandra Cain. The film’s villain will be Black Mask, played by Ewan McGregor. And Chris Messina is Victor Zsasz.

Birds of Prey has been dated for February 7, 2020.
