HBO Max has a lot of movies and TV shows releasing in November 2020, including old favorites. As the official start of the holiday season, the streamer is boosting its original programming in addition to the releases of several notable titles. While November once featured a number of big box office theatrical releases, the coronavirus has forced consumers to change their plans. Services like HBO Max will look to grow their reach by competing directly with VOD titles, and there’s certainly an appealing slate set for the penultimate month of 2020.

As HBO Max hits the six-month mark, the streaming service vows to build its catalog of original content. Meanwhile, its anchor to HBO gives the streamer plenty of premium titles for new and existing subscribers. Just last month, HBO Max saw arrivals of major movies like Cats and Emma along with the premiere of HBO’s The Undoing. October also featured the release of the West Wing reunion special as well as the debut of Max Original movies like Charm City Kings and The Witches remake.

HBO Max’s November 2020 schedule looks to be even more noteworthy with a slew of anticipated programming. The major Saturday movie additions include Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die (November 7), Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr. (November 14), the sci-fi horror Underwater (November 21), and the latest adaptation of The Call of the Wild (November 28). HBO is also gearing up for The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction (November 7), His Dark Materials season 2 (November 16), and the special adaptation of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ 2015 novel Between the World and Me. Other than that, HBO Max Originals will expand on November 26 with The Flight Attendant starring Kaley Cuoco and the Melissa McCarthy action-comedy Superintelligence. Subscribers can also look forward to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion special, which doesn’t have an exact release date yet.

Along with the list of releases, November will subsequently feature numerous departures over the course of four weeks. Thankfully, the bulk of what’s leaving HBO Max throughout the month will disappear on November 30, giving viewers plenty of time to catch the titles. Among the more popular exits include DC titles like Aquaman, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. The latter of which only lasted on the streamer for a few weeks since it added earlier in November. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans will be forced to say goodbye to all three movies from the ’90s as well as 2007’s TMNT, another short-lived newcomer. Hopefully, HBO Max is just clearing some space for even better additions in December.
