Idris Elba playfully teased the identity of his character in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

The identity of Idris Elba’s character in The Suicide Squad remains unknown and the actor was asked if he could reveal details on his role during an interview with Variety at the Cats premiere. Of course, Idris Elba could not share any new information on the James Gunn film, but he did have some fun with fans by saying, “I can totally tell you his name,” before mouthing something inaudible and apologizing when the interviewer attributed the silence to sound issues.

It was first thought that Elba would reprise the role of Deadshot, previously played by Will Smith, but it was later revealed that the DC villain would be removed from the film altogether. With this announcement, there was chatter Elba might be Sportsmaster or Deathstroke, but nothing has been confirmed.
