Spider-Man screenwriter David Koepp is back working on the script for Indiana Jones 5.
Asked about his time on Indiana Jones 5, Koepp told Den of Geek, “I actually am again. I’m working on it again. We’re still trying. And I think we’ve got a good idea this time. We’ll see.” Koepp is most known for his writing on Jurassic Park, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, and Mission: Impossible. Koepp also wrote the screenplay for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Koepp was replaced in June by Solo: A Star Wars Story co-writer Jonathan Kasdan. In July, the project was moved back a year from its earlier announced release date of July 10, 2020 to July 9, 2021. The delays reportedly came from key members of the production not being satisfied with the script from Koepp, the original screenwriter. Nevertheless, it looks like Koepp has returned to the franchise.
Starring Harrison Ford, the as-yet untitled Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled to release on July 9, 2021.
