No Time To Die director Cary Joji Fukunaga shares some details regarding the role of Christoph Waltz returning as Ernst Stravo Blofeld.
During an interview with Empire, director Cary Fukunaga broke down the first trailer for No Time to Die and teased what fans can expect from Waltz’s return. He explained that “Blofeld is an iconic character in all the Bond films,” adding in that, “he’s in prison, but he certainly can’t be done yet, right?” Although the interaction in the trailer between Bond and Blofeld is brief, it clearly holds some significance to the movie’s overall plot. Fukunaga then went on to say, “what could he be doing from there and what nefarious, sadistic things does he have planned for James Bond and the rest of the world?”
Christoph Waltz is a two-time Academy Award winner, having won for his supporting roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained.
