James Wan has shared a first look at the titular demonic doll in the horror threequel Annabelle Comes Home.
Producer and franchise shepherd James Wan has posted a creepy first look at Annabelle Comes Home to his official Instagram account, as you can see below. Although Wan doesn’t mention anything about the movie’s trailer in his post, it’s speculated that the Annabelle Comes Home teaser will arrive alongside Pet Sematary in theaters next week.
Annabelle looks cozy in the locked room the Warren’s keep for all of their paranormal artifacts. In their adventures throughout the first two films, they have obtained many dangerous items that they’ve locked up in this room. It sounds like their attempts to keep the world safe might come back to bite them, as Annabelle wreaks havoc in their home.
Warner Bros. revealed the official synopsis for the movie, offering new details about how the Warrens’ young daughter will be affected by the demonic doll.
“Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.”
Annabelle Comes Home premieres in theaters on June 28th.
