An image of the first poster for the fourth John Wick film has emerged online, revealing the return of Keanu Reeves’ legendary hitman.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is being promoted at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week and posters for the film have been set up ahead of time, as shown in an image from the venue. The image, originally shared by Bleeding Cool, features a look at Keanu Reeves as Wick, taking aim with his gun while surrounded by cherry blossoms. The poster does not reveal the film’s subtitle, assuming it will have one in the vein of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, though it is possible that a final title has either not yet been decided or is being saved for a larger official reveal.
While the rumored subtitle “Hagakure” – coming from an ancient Japanese text teaching the way of the samurai – has been discussed online, this has not been confirmed by the poster or by Lionsgate. The poster does reveal a first look at the red-hued logo for Chapter 4, sans any potential subtitle. Check out the first poster for John Wick: Chapter 4 below:
Chapter 4 will mark the first film in the franchise not to be penned by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. While the first look gives way little, the tease of a Japanese setting and the promise of seeing Keanu Reeves back in action are sure to excite many fans of the series.
The next film in the franchise, John Wick: Chapter 4, is currently scheduled to be released on March 24, 2023.
