A behind-the-scenes video from the set of Deadpool 2 shows Josh Brolin practicing his fighting skills with several stunt professionals.
“Playing around with different sequences with the stunt team of Deadpool 2,” Brolin said of the footage, which was shared on Instagram. “A beautiful, if not totally committed group at top of their game; guys and gals that demanded I skip the donut and work to a higher standard in myself.”
After previously portraying the villain Thanos in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, Deadpool 2 showed Brolin’s introduction as popular X-Men character Cable. In the film, Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson/Deadpool goes toe-to-toe with Cable in an effort to protect a mutant named Russell Collins.
A third installment of Deadpool is currently in the works at Marvel Studios following the company’s merger with 21st Century Fox. Some fans have worried that future Deadpool films would be “toned down” due to the character’s inclusion in the MCU. However, Disney has already given the green light for future R-rated Deadpool films, according to screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Deadpool 3 will show the return of Ryan Reynolds as the titular Merc with a Mouth. As of now, there is no official cast list or plot details for the film.
