The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement for Justice League hit San Diego Comic-Con 2019 in another big way, with a banner flying over the convention.
After Justice League was released and proved to be both a critical and financial bomb, Snyder fans solicited Warner Bros. to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut of the film. And while most of their stunts have been noteworthy, they’ve certainly taken things to new heights with today’s banner plane.
As part of what they’ve called “Project Comic-Con,” the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign raised funds to promote the Snyder Cut of Justice League at SDCC, arguably the biggest pop culture event of the year. They raised thousands of dollars to support their efforts at SDCC and donated half of everything they earned to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
With two days left of SDCC, it remains to be seen what else the folks behind #ReleaseTheSnyderCut have planned. However, even if nothing comes from their persistence, at least they are helping to raise awareness about suicide prevention along the way.
