Disney Plus has released a trailer for its live-action Lady and the Tramp

The trailer was shown at D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, before being released online. The footage itself features classic characters from the animated original and hints at some of the iconic moments that will be adapted into live-action.

All in all, the live-action Lady and the Tramp doesn’t seem to be promising much of anything new, as far as the general story goes. At the same time, the decision to use real dogs appears to be working in the movie’s advantage and lends the trailer footage an air of innocence that Disney’s CGI-fueled retellings like The Lion King and even The Jungle Book didn’t have.

Lady and the Tramp stars Tessa Thompson as Lady, Justin Theroux as Tramp, Sam Elliott as Trusty, Ashley Jensen as Jock, Benedict Wong as Bull, Janelle Monáe as Peg, Kiersey Clemons as Darling Dear, Thomas Mann as Jim Dear, Yvette Nicole Brown as Aunt Sarah, Arian Martinez as Elliot and Arturo Castro as Marco. The film arrives Nov. 12 exclusively on Disney+.
