At Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Marvel Studios revealed that Kit Harington, Gemma Chan and Barry Keoghan would all be joining the cast of Eternals. Earlier this year, Marvel wrapped up Phase 3 of the MCU with Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home, and for a few weeks fans had little idea what to expect from Phase 4. Then at San Diego Comic-Con last month, Feige took the stage in Hall H to unveil the first two years of the MCU Phase 4 slate, including a host of movies and Disney+ TV shows.
Harington will portray Dane Whitman, the non-Eternal Marvel hero known as the Black Knight. Chan will portray the heroic Eternal Sersi, and Keoghan will portray Druig, a villainous Eternal.

Created by Jack Kirby, the Eternals are a race of immortal, super-powered beings who were created by the Celestials. Although they’ve been alluded to in other MCU films, this movie will mark their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
Both Black Knight and Sersi served on the Avengers together in the ’90s, where they had a somewhat tumultuous romantic relationship.
Directed by Chloé Zhao with a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, Eternals stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh and Angelina Jolie as Thena. The film arrives in theaters on November 6, 2020.
