While the internet has seen the emergence of quite a few Avengers: Endgame synopsis on various ticketing sites in recent weeks, none of these summaries have come directly from Marvel Studios, until now.
The official synopsis posted on Marvel‘s website has been updated, teasing a last stand by the surviving heroes against Thanos and delivering a sense of finality to the long running franchise. The full synopsis from Marvel is below:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
As with every other piece of officially released Endgame material, the new description keeps plot details to a minimum.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin.
