Director Matt Reeves officially announced filming has started on The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson.
Reeves has confirmed on Twitter that The Batman is officially filming. Production is taking place in London, and Reeves commemorated the beginning of it with a simple photo. It confirms that The Batman is the title (at least for now) and provides an early look at a possible logo for the film. Check out Reeves’ post below:
Reeves’s Twitter account has become the place to find out new additions to The Batman‘s cast, with Reeves revealing Peter Sarsgaard in a mysterious, undisclosed role; Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon; Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth; Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman; Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin and Paul Dano as Edward Nigma/Riddler.
Numerous set photos have also started to leak from The Batman, giving fans a potential look at the Gotham City Police and Farrell’s Penguin.
The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard. The film arrives June 25, 2021.
