The Avengers: Endgame official synopsis has been released.
The new synopsis comes from Disney’s Australian website, which features a countdown to when the movie hits theaters. It also has the first official synopsis, which picks up where Avengers: Infinity War left off and gives us a glimpse at the incredibly high stakes in Endgame.

“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.”
The choice of the word “consequences” in the Avengers: Endgame synopsis will undoubtedly lead many MCU fans to think about death. It has been heavily rumored since before Infinity War came out that we will see the deaths of Iron Man and Captain America before Phase 3 of the MCU is complete. With Endgame being the final movie in Phase 3, it looks like those “consequences” could point towards two major deaths, if not more, when trying to save the universe.
It’s no secret that Marvel Studios went to great lengths to be able to preserve the secrecy surrounding Infinity War, and despite a few minor slip-ups, they were able to pull off arguably one of the most surprising twists in recent cinematic history. Obviously, Marvel Studios is doing an amazing job keeping everything under wraps, so there isn’t much about Avengers: Endgame that has been officially confirmed at this time, other than the fact that they will be trying to reverse the Decimation.
