Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage are set to play the lead roles in Brothers, a comedy movie that will be scripted by Tropic Thunder and Men in Black 3 writer Etan Cohen.

Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage are two of the most celebrated actors working today, and they’re both two of the few actors who’ve appeared in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Fox’s X-Men movies. While Brolin starred as Cable in Deadpool 2 and Dinklage was Bolivar Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past, both appeared in Avengers: Infinity War, with Brolin as Thanos and Dinklage as Eitri, the giant silversmith who helped construct the Infinity Gauntlet.

THR reports that Legendary Pictures has won a bidding war for Brothers, a comedy film that will star Brolin and Dinklage as mismatched brothers, and is said to be in a similar vein to the Arnold Schwarzenegger/Danny DeVito movie Twins. Etan Cohen, who recently wrote and directed comedy two-hander Holmes & Watson (starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly) will write the script, and both Brolin and Dinklage are also producing through their respective production companies, Brolin Productions and Estuary Films. American Sniper producer Andrew Lazar is also attached to the project.

Of course, it’s still early days for Brothers, which doesn’t yet have a release date or even a director attached. In the meantime you can see Dinklage back in the role of Tyrion Lannister when Game of Thrones returns for its eighth and final season in April, and see Brolin playing Thanos again in this summer’s highly-anticipated sequel Avengers: Endgame.
