In a new behind-the-scenes photo from Shazam!, the film’s version of Superman finally shows his face.
On Instagram, actor and stuntman Ryan Handley posted behind-the-scenes images of himself in the Superman costume from the set of Shazam! In the first image, Handley appears besides Levi, who’s in costume as Shazam himself, while the second comes from Handley’s Instagram stories and features a full-body shot of his Superman costume. See both images below.

The character Superman made a small cameo towards the end of the film, with Shazam/Billy Batson inviting him to have lunch with his foster siblings at school. In the short sequence, the camera didn’t show the Big Blue Boy Scout’s face, leading fans to wonder just who was playing the role. Some guessed Henry Cavil was hiding his mustache, while others suggested this may be his replacement in the DC Extended Universe. Eventually, in an interview with Deadline, the movie’s director David F. Sandberg revealed it was Ryan Hadley, Shazam’s stunt double.
Directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, Shazam! is currently available on digital HD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
