The cast of Far From Home knew about the heartbreaking ups and downs of Endgame before the movie was even released.

During an interview with ET, Tony Revolori, who plays Flash Thompson, explained that the cast members, “were all sat down in a room, at least [he] was, and [producer] Eric Carroll came in and told most of the cast what happens in Endgame.” He went on to add that the cast knew, “things that happened in Endgame before some of the Endgame actors themselves.”  A lot of the reasoning for this was because Far From Home was shot, “a year before it [Endgame] came out, so [they] had to figure all that out and they had to tell us all about it.”

Tony Revolori’s comments to ET makes sense, although they still might take some fans by surprise. Marvel Studios is known for its high security, attempting to keep the spoilers of each blockbuster under wraps until their release.

As such, the contents of Endgame were kept a secret, even from the starring cast. So while the actors were originally told that Tony’s funeral scene was a wedding, the cast of Spider-Man: Far From Home filmed the follow-up movie with the knowledge of Iron Man’s death.

Both Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home are currently in theaters.
