Natalie Portman has expressed excitement to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker while reaching out to her own fans.
Natalie Portman played Padmé Amidala in The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Following the release of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, Natalie Portman has been critical of her own part in the series, claiming that it hurt her career as an actress rather than helping it, just as she’s been critical of her Thor appearances for similar reasons. Nonetheless, it seems like she’s reconciled with both Marvel and Lucasfilm alike, between agreeing to return as Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder and promoting The Rise of Skywalker.
Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film is now in theaters.
