Joel Kinnaman has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo from James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad featuring himself working out alongside John Cena.
Kinnaman wrote on Instagram, “Lunch break on #TheSuicideSquad When I saw @johncena bench 4000 lbs I thought to myself “Damn.. but you know he probably can’t move that well.. I’m smooth and flexible.. Then he got up started stretching and did the splits.”
Joel Kinnaman is one of the returning actors from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, working with James Gunn on this upcoming sequel, which has been described as a soft reboot of the franchise. John Cena entered talks for a role in James Gunn’s DC movie back in April and was confirmed last month along with the rest of the ensemble cast consisting of both returning Suicide Squad actors and newcomers.
