Black Panther: Wakanda Forever tie-in LEGO set may have revealed the identity of Marvel’s new Black Panther in the upcoming film.

Following the tragic passing of T’Challa actor Chadwick Boseman, Marvel Studios made the decision not to recast his character in the MCU. Instead, the Black Panther sequel will focus on the other inhabitants of Wakanda, with someone else set to take on the mantle of the Black Panther.

The new Black Panther’s identity is yet to be officially revealed, but a newly announced Marvel LEGO set may have let the cat out of the bag.

Is This Marvel’s New Black Panther?

A new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever LEGO set called “Shuri’s Sunbird” includes a minifigure of Shuri donning the Black Panther suit, apparently confirming Letitia Wright’s character will be taking over the mantle from Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa.

The set also includes Nakia, while previously revealed Wakanda Forever sets have included Shuri in the Black Panther suit alongside M’Baku and Okoye. This would appear to rule out all the other potential candidates for the Black Panther mantle, as they have all been featured alongside Shuri in these sets, where only she has been seen in the suit.

Shuri would be the natural successor to the mantle of Black Panther following the death of her brother. T’Challa had no children, making her the next heir to the throne of Wakanda. While her mother Ramonda will be serving as Queen in Wakanda Forever, Shuri would be the right age to take over as Wakanda’s Black Panther.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11.
