Robert Pattinson is going to be the star of The Batman after all.

According to Deadline, the studio has approved Pattinson for the role. However, the actor has not yet finalized a deal with Warner Bros., which reportedly hopes to sign him for at least two more films. TheWrap has since independently confirmed this report. He will be the seventh person to play Batman on the big screen in live-action movies.

Rumors from February suggested Warner Bros. was eyeing Pattinson to replace Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. However, most didn’t consider him a frontrunner until recent reports suggested otherwise.

X-Men actor Nicholas Hoult was also in the running for the role. However, early reports indicated Pattinson was the top choice, which has since resulted in him landing the gig. Pre-production on the film could begin as early as this summer.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves, who will also produce alongside Dylan Clark. The film is scheduled to be released on June 25, 2021.

  1. Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Ie.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know.

The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Thanks
