Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director, has been sharing many of his opinions about various comic book and superhero-related subjects lately.

Some fans have argued that Zack Snyder’s films are divisive, darker toned, and contain very little to no humor. Fans even find his films controversial especially after his decision to have Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight kill people in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

At a recent panel, he was asked about his stance on comic book movies. In his response, he discussed his feelings towards Marvel Studio’s Avengers films.

“The thing about comic book movies is — and you know I’m a fan,” he said. “I go and see all the Avengers movies and I go and I love it. You don’t have to not enjoy them, but you also have to be, like, open to other things as well.”

One of the biggest criticism fans have had about the MCU films is that it has become somewhat predictable. Each movie feels formulaic and shares a very similar tone. Although recent films have achieved great success, Snyder suggests that there will come a time where things will just have to evolve instead of staying in the dream world.
