The first full trailer for the upcoming second season of Marvel and Freeform’s Cloak and Dagger is now online, and it gives us our first proper glimpse of Mayhem (Emma Lahana) in action.
The live-action series made its debut last summer and pleasantly surprised audiences with what it had to offer. The series balanced the young adult approach with maturity and found great chemistry between the budding actors playing the future heroes. It took time, but the “Divine Pairing” finally learned to use their powers to help others and not just themselves, saving all of New Orleans in the process.
Freeform and Marvel debuted the official first trailer for Cloak & Dagger season 2 today to show the titular heroes embracing their powers even more. The trailer highlights how they’re taking the safety of New Orleans into their own hands, with one of their major focuses being sex trafficking. While they attempt to do this in the way they believe is right, Brigid O’Reilly (Emma Lahana) has the same goal – and will unleash Mayhem to get the job done.
From the trailer, it would appear that the presence of Mayhem and her tactics will cause friction between Tyrone and Tandy, with Tandy approving of them and Tyrone condemning them. It would also seem that the two are mastering their powers and embracing their roles as New Orleans’s resident superheroes. However, with Mayhem complicating things, Tyrone and Tandy may not come out of this season unscathed.

Returning April 4 on Freeform, Cloak & Dagger stars Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen/Dagger and Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, as well as Emma Lahana as Brigid O’Reilly/Mayhem, Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Liam, James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo and J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors.
