HBO has released a full-length trailer for Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen TV series in connection to San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
The video starts with Hooded Justice engaging in vigilante activities, though it’s later revealed to be a show on TV. The footage then pivots to the investigation of the Rorschach vigilantes. The video also focuses on FBI Agent Laurie Blake, known as Laurie Juspeczyk/Silk Spectre in the comics. She’s the daughter of Sally Jupiter and Edward Blake and has seemingly taken her father’s last name.
The end of the trailer shows a man in a suit leaning down to pick up a blue mask, revealing his hand to be blue, like Doctor Manhattan, indicating the god-like character has returned after leaving at the end of Watchmen.
HBO’s Watchmen will premiere in the fall of 2019.
