The SCOOB! trailer reveals a first look at Warner Bros’ upcoming 3D computer-animated Scooby-Doo movie.
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first official trailer for the film, offering the first footage from feature and a tease of what to expect from this interpretation of the classic series. The feature film will deliver a unique tale for the Mystery, INC. gang with brand new voices for the lead characters and crossovers from other properties from Hanna-Barbera! Check out the video in the player above.
The long-running cartoon franchise first kicked off in 1969 as the animated series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, which introduced generations of audiences to the Mystery Inc. gang. The series established what has become the typical form of most Scooby-Doo shows and movies: A group of young sleuths and their trusty great dane investigate mysterious happenings, and deduce the logical if mundane, explanation behind things like ghosts and monsters.
In SCOOB!, Scooby-Doo (Frank Welker) will once again be joined by the four original members of Mystery Inc., including his closest friend and fellow scaredy-cat Shaggy Rogers (Will Forte), Fred Jones (Zac Efron), Velma Dinkley (Gina Rodriguez) and Daphne Blake (Amanda Seyfried). Recently, Warner Bros. released the first SCOOB! images, revealing the 3D computer-animated designs of the latest incarnation of the Mystery Inc. gang.
Directed by Tony Cervone (Space Jam) from a script by Matt Lieberman (The Addams Family), SCOOB will debut in theaters on May 15, 2020.
