A new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem has been released that gives a better look at Splinter and the new villain. Produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver, the animated feature marks a fresh beginning for the cultural phenomenon that first debuted in an independent comic book by Mirage Studios in 1984. The initial trailer for TMNT: Mutant Mayhem revealed that along with producing, Rogen will provide his voice in the movie and will be joined by a star-studded cast. This version of the Turtles will put an emphasis on the titular characters being teenagers that will be voiced by young actors.

With the trailer presenting a new take on the Turtles, it seems Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will be a unique entry in the franchise.
However, some aspects of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem might disappoint some looking forward to classic elements being in the movie. One notable element of the film is the absence of Shredder, who it seems won’t appear in the movie. But because Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is a fresh take on the Turtles, this new iteration of TMNT may be better off without Shredder as its first antagonist. However, the cast is filled out with many characters that appeared in the 80s cartoon and Playmates toy line.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem also features a comic book style akin to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, making it stand out from other TMNT media. Not only will the film’s story be unique, but so will the presentation of the Turtles and the threats they face from Superfly.
