Fox is ramping up the marketing campaign for Dark Phoenix with the X-Mensequel’s first television spot.

On Twitter, X-Men Movies released a new promo for Dark Phoenix. The 30-second clip begins with Fassbender’s Magneto asking Turner’s Jean to “start at the beginning.” Jean then admits that a darkness has woken inside her. Much to Magneto’s horror, she confronts both her teammates and soldiers attacking his mutant haven of Genosha, before the Master of Magnetism is dispatched as well. X-Men Movies captions the video posting with “On June 7, a Phoenix will rise,” followed by a fire emoji. Watch the Dark Phoenix clip below.

A loose adaptation of The Dark Phoenix Saga by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, the upcoming X-Men film is expected by many to be the final film in the original incarnation of Fox’s franchise, before the characters make their eagerly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. As such, this will likely be James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender’s final depiction of Marvel’s Merry Mutants.

Written and directed by Simon Kinberg, Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters and Jessica Chastain. The film is scheduled to be released on June 7.
