News reports state that Apple announced its new TV streaming services called Apple TV Channels and Apple TV+ at today’s Apple event. These services will be a part of the redesigned, more advanced Apple TV app.

“For some of us, the big bundle is more than we need, so we designed a new TV experience where you can pay for only the channels you want all in one app,” said Apple’s Peter Stern. “Watch everything on demand and ad-free. Download your shows to take with you anywhere. Enjoy the highest quality picture and sound available.”

Apple TV Channels will include Epix, HBO, Showtime, and Starz. Apple will feature their original content on its new Apple TV+ service. With a focus on simplifying the customer experience through convenience, these services will be available in Apple’s TV app that has been redesigned to keep all content in one place.

Apple TV Channels and the new Apple TV app will launch through a software update in May. It will be available in more than 100 countries.
