Disney’s animated superhero series Big Hero 6 The Series, has been renewed for a third season. Adapted from the 2014 3D animated superhero film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, the renewal comes ahead of the May 6 Season 2 premiere.

Big Hero 6 The Series continues the adventures and friendship of 14-year-old Hiro, his caring robot Baymax, and their friends as they protect their city from scientifically enhanced villains. Season 2 features the heros in technically advanced super suits as they go against a variety of innovative villains, bio-engineered monsters and high-tech robots.
Mark McCorcle, Bob Schooley and Nick Filippi serve are executive producers of this series. The series consists of a voice cast that includes Maya Rudolph, Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Jamie Chung, Alan Tudyk, Khary Payton, Genesis Rodriguez, Brooks Wheelan, David Shaughnessy and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee as Fred’s dad. Returning are Christy Carlson Romano and Andy Richter, Jenifer Lewis, Haley Tju and Mara Wilson.
Season 2 premieres at 3 p.m. Monday, May 6, on Disney Channel.
