Disney Plus announced it will release a first look at the upcoming original Marvel Studios series’ in a special titled Expanding the Universe.
MCU fans have been eagerly awaiting these new shows for months; however, the November 11 tweet from Disney+ revealed the existence of Marvel’s Expanding the Universe for the first time. Right now, very little is known about the new special, which will be available for streaming at launch on Disney+. Expanding the Universe will give fans “a new look at the original series coming to the service,” according to the official Disney+ tweet. Starting November 12, Disney+ subscribers may get the best look yet at Phase 4 of the MCU.
Based on that brief description, Expanding the Universe will be a one-time special providing an overview of the upcoming Disney+ Marvel shows. The special may feature behind-the-scenes footage, cast interviews, or some other type of exclusive preview. Because even though Marvel fans can watch nearly all of the MCU movies when Disney+ launches, they will have to wait a little longer to see the new shows. At this time, Falcon and the Winter Soldier does not have an official release date, although Disney has previously confirmed that the show will tentatively start streaming in fall 2020.
Although it is unclear exactly which MCU series will be previewed, Marvel’s list of announced Disney+ series includes WandaVision, What If…?, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Moon Knight and Loki.
Disney+ releases on Nov. 12. The service is available to pre-order now.
