The American television game show Jeopardy! was created by Merv Griffin and debuted on NBC in the 1960s. Over 7,000 episodes have aired since then and the show has earned 33 Daytime Emmy Awards as well as a Peabody Award. The show has featured many contestants who displayed their impressive abilities to compete in a quiz game that requires contestants to draw upon their extensive knowledge about current events, history, science, art, popular culture, literature, and languages. Although many contestants have made their marks on the show, Tuesday’s episode was definitely one to be written in the books.
Tuesday’s success would make it the fourth straight win for Holzhauer. To date, his total earnings have reached more than $244,000. According to the Jeopardy! Buzz report, the contestant intentionally achieved his goal of $110,914, as it is symbolic of his daughter’s birthday 11/09/2014.
