Marvel’s Runaways is canceled at Hulu; the series is set to end with season 3 next month as a new trailer is released.
The trailer revisits the team of teenage superheroes, who are still reeling from the events of the Season 2 finale. Season 3 joins the Runaways on a quest to locate their comrades Chase, Gert and Karolina, all of whom were captured as Season 2 came to a close.
Coming off the Runaways season 2 finale, there’s plenty for Marvel’s teen superheroes to deal with in their upcoming outing. Not only will Morgan le Fay (Elizabeth Hurley) arrive, but the Runaways are still dealing with the alien race of which Jonah was a part. Plus, the season 3 trailer further teases the upcoming Runaways and Cloak and Dagger crossover, with Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) and Tandy (Olivia Holt) joining the series for an episode. However, since Cloak and Dagger was cancelled last month and Runaways is ending, it will be the one and only crossover between the two series – unless they’re resurrected.
For now, Runaways fans can rest assured knowing they have at least one more season left to watch and it will hopefully provide closure for those who have been following the teens’ stories up till now. Plus, with Morgan le Fay and the Cloak and Dagger crossover set to elevate Runaways season 3, at least the show may go out on a high note.
Marvel’s Runaways Season 3 stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Allegra Acosta, Angel Parker, Ryan Sans, Annie Wersching, Kip Pardue, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Brigid Brannagh, Kevin Weisman, Brittany Ishibashi and James Yaegashi. The series returns for its third and final season on Dec. 13, with all 10 episodes dropping simultaneously.
