Amazon released the first trailer for the second season of The Boys.
The footage, which is completely devoid of dialogue, begins with a bloodsoaked and visibly distraught Homelander slowly descending from the sky. From there, we cut to a montage of such familiar faces as Hughie, Billy Butcher, Mother’s Milk, The Deep, Lady Maeve and more. We even get a shot of Homelander sipping breastmilk as Billy downs a glass of whiskey. The trailer then ends with Billy smirking as he takes a sip of tea.
Based on the comic series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys was renewed by Amazon for a second season shortly before its series premiere in July. While details about Season 2 are scarce, it will feature the debut of several new characters, including the hero Stormfront and a mystery character played by Patton Oswalt.
The Boys stars Karl Urban Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Kapon, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell. So far, the series has added Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit for season two.
