“Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire.”
The CW is moving forward with a series adaptation of the classic ‘80s vampire movie The Lost Boys. According to Deadline, they’ve just ordered a pilot episode to start production.
The original Lost Boys film was released in 1987. The horror/comedy film told the tale of two brothers that ended up moving to a town plagued by a gang of youth vampires. The movie did exceptionally well with both fans and critics. The Lost Boys remains a cult favorite and could explain why Hollywood is still interested in reviving the franchise.

Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy writer – Heather Mitchell – took on the challenge of writing The Lost Boys script. The series will take place in Santa Carla and follow the story of the two brothers who move there. Which evidently find themselves drawn into a world of young vampires.
The Lost Boy fandom have waited decades for a TV Series based on the cult classic. So here’s to hoping the pilot delivers all the goods needed to get the project green lit for a series.
